1. Overview

At Lawnify, we strive to provide a high-quality lawn care planning experience through our AI-powered analysis tools and two-sided marketplace connecting homeowners with lawn care providers. This Refund Policy outlines how refunds are handled for subscriptions, marketplace transactions, and credit purchases. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

By subscribing to Lawnify or making purchases through our platform, you agree to the terms of this Refund Policy.

2. Subscription Refunds

Lawnify offers three subscription tiers: Free, Basic ($4.99/month), and Pro ($9.99/month). Annual billing is available at a 20% discount.

2.1 Monthly Subscriptions

  • Within the first 7 days: If you are unsatisfied with your subscription, you may request a prorated refund within 7 days of your initial subscription or any renewal charge.
  • After 7 days: No refunds will be issued for the current billing cycle. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.

2.2 Annual Subscriptions

  • Annual plans are eligible for a prorated refund based on the remaining unused months in your billing period, provided the refund is requested within 30 days of the initial purchase or renewal.
  • After 30 days, no refunds will be issued. You may cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of the annual billing period.

2.3 Downgrades

If you downgrade from Pro to Basic (or from a paid tier to Free), the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. No partial refunds are issued for downgrades mid-cycle.

3. Marketplace Transaction Refunds

Lawnify's marketplace connects homeowners with lawn care providers. The following refund rules apply to marketplace transactions:

3.1 Payment Holds

When you book a lawn care service through Lawnify, your payment is held in escrow until the service is marked as completed by both the homeowner and the provider. Funds are only released to the provider after successful service completion.

3.2 Cancellation Before Service

If you cancel a marketplace booking before the scheduled service date, you are entitled to a full refund of the transaction amount. The refund will be processed to your original payment method.

3.3 Dispute Window

  • You have 48 hours after a service is marked as completed to file a dispute if you are unsatisfied with the work performed.
  • Disputes are reviewed by Lawnify's support team. If the dispute is resolved in the homeowner's favor, a full or partial refund will be issued depending on the circumstances.
  • After the 48-hour dispute window closes, the payment is released to the provider and is no longer eligible for a refund through Lawnify.

3.4 Provider Cancellations

If a provider cancels a confirmed booking, you will automatically receive a full refund. No action is required on your part.

4. Credit Purchase Refunds

Lawnify uses a credits system for AI lawn analysis. Pro subscribers receive 10 credits per month, and additional credits can be purchased in packs of 10 for $2.99.

4.1 Refund Eligibility

  • Unused credits: Purchased credit packs are refundable within 7 days of purchase, provided none of the credits in that pack have been used.
  • Partially used credits: If you have used any credits from a purchased pack, that pack is no longer eligible for a refund.

4.2 Subscription Credits

Credits included with your Pro subscription reset monthly and do not roll over. These subscription-included credits are not independently refundable — they are part of your subscription and are covered under the subscription refund terms above.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact our support team with the following information:

  • Your account email address
  • The type of refund you are requesting (subscription, marketplace, or credits)
  • The date of the original transaction
  • The reason for your refund request

6. Exceptions

Lawnify reserves the right to deny refund requests in the following circumstances:

  • Chargebacks: If you initiate a chargeback through your bank or credit card issuer instead of contacting us first, we may suspend your account pending investigation. We encourage you to contact our support team before filing a chargeback.
  • Fraud: Refund requests associated with fraudulent activity, including unauthorized account access or falsified dispute claims, will be denied. Fraudulent accounts may be permanently suspended.
  • Abuse: Repeated or systematic refund requests that indicate abuse of this policy (such as subscribing and requesting refunds each month, or repeatedly filing unsubstantiated marketplace disputes) may result in refund denial and account review.

7. Processing Time

Once a refund is approved, processing times are as follows:

  • Credit/debit cards: Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer.
  • Bank transfers: Refunds may take up to 10 business days to process.
  • Marketplace disputes: Dispute resolution and associated refunds may take up to 14 business days while the investigation is completed.

All refunds are issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.
